Making Money without a Job or Money... Is it Possible?

I get some emails from my web visitors from time to time and a frequently ask question is " how do I make money without spending money" or " how do I make money without a job".

The question used to annoy me. But I do understand the idea. I've made money without a job or start up capital. It usually involves working for free or creatively solving someones apparent problem.

My experience with earning money without start up capital started with a company called Do It Yourselfers Helper. It was basically a simple handyman business and the idea was great. The business quickly evolved into a concrete construction company as that is what I had the most experience with at the time.

I wanted to share an experience I had with the company to illustrate how a person can really make money without start up capital. I put up some cards that I had made and a gentleman picked one up and gave me a call. He had a mobile home that served as a cottage in Michigan and he wintered in Florida. Every spring he would come home and had trouble opening the door as the mobile home would heave with the frost in the winter.

I suggested he put concrete piers under the trailer and he agreed. Long story short I earn $3,700 dollars for 3 days work. While that isn't a ton of money, at the time I felt rich. I was probably 19 or so and that money went a long way.

I made an agreement with someone to do something that had an agreed upon value of $3700 dollars and I did my part, he did his and I got paid.

So... The point-

In order to make money without a lot of capital you need to be willing to add value, to serve a customer or solve a problem. Make sure you do your part and make sure you have an agreement.
